HOW TO RESERVE A HOUSE...

Enclosed you will find a list picturing and describing our Orcas vacation homes. To keep our rental prices lower, the homes are on a housekeeping basis - meaning you are responsible for leaving the house and property in the same clean manner as you found it.  This includes doing your own sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom tub, shower and toilet cleaning, mirrors, vacuuming, doing dishes and putting them away and laundry. If you do not wish to perform these housekeeping duties, there are maid service fees for our crews to clean and do laundry.   To determine the cost for cleaning and laundry at the house of your choice, see the asterisks next to the house description.   * = $50/$35, **=$75/40, ***=$125/50.
All homes provide linens, towels, kitchenware and BBQs.

Out of courtesy to those who do not appreciate animals and fleas and have allergies, we do not allow pets on the rental premises.  This also applies to pets of Daily Visitors.   Our Eastsound Kennel will be happy to accommodate your "family friend" during your stay.  (360) 376-2410.

Our homes may not be used as “party houses”, for weddings, receptions, group dinners, or activities with tents, campers, RV’s etc in the yards.  Our permits are very restrictive and we strive to respect the neighbors and resources.  If your visit to Orcas requires anything similar to the above, we’d be happy to guide you to venues better suited.

The season for vacation rentals is from mid June to September; however, a limited number of rentals are available year 'round.  Please call for availability.


Reservations for dates between June 15-Sept. 14, 2008
may not be made until MARCH 1, 2008.

July and August weekly stays begin and end on SUNDAYS

All Reservation requests for the 2008 season
(June 15, 2008 - September 14, 2008)
may not be placed until Saturday, March 1, 2008.

Some houses will be available for rent outside our 2008 Season
(December 2007 through June 14, 2008 and
September 15, 2008 through December 31, 2008).

When you decide on a house:

  1. Call us, or visit the office in person, to see if the house you want is available for your dates.  Two representatives will be in our office to accept reservations, one by phone and one in person on March 1 at 9:00am PST.  One method is not necessarily better than the other, because lines tend to form for each.  If the house you desire is available, we will reserve it verbally.  If it’s not, we will work to get you an alternative house.

  2. We will only hold the house with the verbal reservation for seven days.  During those seven days, you must complete a “Guest Reservation Application and Agreement” and send us the deposit required.  (See below.)  If your letter is not postmarked within seven days, we have no obligation to hold the house for you.

Your request to rent a house should include:

a)    A completed “Guest Reservation Application and Rental Agreement”.  (One is provided in the 
brochure or web site.)

b)  Include a check, cashier's check, or money order for $200.00 security deposit and 1/2 the
      rent amount.  (Security deposits will be returned within 14 days of departure if there is no theft
      or  damage and all housekeeping duties have been performed.)  One check combining the
      security deposit and rent deposit is fine made payable to Cherie L. Lindholm Real Estate.

The balance is due fourteen (14) days prior to arrival.  Receipts acknowledging your final balance paid will not be mailed, but is provided in your check-in envelope.  Payments for the initial deposit or final balance may be made in cash, check, money order or traveler’s checks.  We do not accept credit cards.

Our receipt of your deposit and a completed “Guest Reservation Application and Rental Agreement” subsequently signed by us, guarantees that space is reserved for you.  In return, you are financially responsible for the entire reservation.  Please read the cancellation clause on the enclosed contract.

When we receive your deposit and completed “Guest Reservation Application and Rental Agreement”, you will promptly receive a written reply which will include a copy of the “Rental Agreement” signed by us.  Accompanying the Agreement will be a cover letter which will include important phone numbers, ferry schedules, car rental and air flight information, plus island services and activities information.
